PHP upgrades are a good idea in general to avoid late catch-up and to get active support.

Phalcon since 5.2.x supports PHP 8.2 which was our main blocker. Once 23.4 is out we can start testing PHP and perhaps integrate into 23.1.x or wait for 23.7. The timeline on it is a bit unclear but definitely this year. ;)
