Hi. I'm sorry that even small patches (like a spelling error ;-) require a CLA & a ticket to merge. I know it is frustrating and probably seems stupid at first glance. We have to do this to ensure the integrity of the project so it is safe for everyone to use, contribute to, and build on. "Every line of code, without exception". Upside to going through the hoops the first time is that you will get love & attribution from Opscode and our community, and the projects ultimately get more users & committers because the project is solid. We are working on improvements to the process to reduce friction. Thanks, |
