We do this with the wizard view in two places, using xxf:update="full" on xf:switch:

  • for all wizard pages (in wizard.xbl)
  • for repeated top-level sections (in repeater.xbl)

Possibly, just adding xxf:update="full" on xf:switch in section.xbl might do the trick?

  • quick check with xxf:update="full"
  • make sure we don't have an issue with nested xxf:update="full" (wizard)

(Note that in Form Builder, we do more: we do not even produce the static analysis of the control tree. But we cannot do this at runtime as we need the controls to be live.)
