This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156)

I don't think it's possible to deploy CouchDB on iPhone. You'd need to =
spawn Erlang as a daemon and I believe Apple does not allow you to have =
multiple processes for an app.

I wish there was a "CouchDB Light", a bit like sqlite, which would be a =
library to include in your application. Is there an Erlang-to-C =
crosscompiler?

Wout.

You'd need a build of couchdb for your phone, if you want to use it on
the device and ON the webapp. However, I found it extremely enjoyable
and easier on the client for example, to use Nokia Web Runtime0 to
directly access the store through the REST api.

If you're using Apple related devices, there might be a MacPorts build
you could use for your platform , or you could try build it yourself
on the device if the dependencies are met 1. On Android I'm
guessing it'd be quite easy to get it built.

But CouchDB on a phone, can it be done? Erlang, CouchDB=92s =
implementation language has been designed to run on embedded devices =
magnitudes smaller and less powerful than today=92s phones.
