I've been reading the section on list functions, and it goes into a complex example without ever saying what a list function is.

  • what it is
  • how the URL gets translated into the request
  • why you use it instead of a view, a show
  • how it combines with views
  • what exactly getRow() returns
  • what exactly send() takes, and does

Leaping right into details and an "exciting example" without the "hello world" example which reveals only how the thing works.
