Forum markdown doesn't seem to work correctly

As far as I know, we can use style tag in markdown to get a text decorated. This works in preview, but not in actual post:

Yeah, this may have been disabled as a blanket security thing - rather than specifically disable tags like <script> they probably just disable all tags

...just yesterday I used the < script > (with no spaces between angle brackets and tag word), and the rest of the post was not displayed... on Edit, it was still there though...

Hmm... that's a bit odd. What happens when you look at it with the web browser's 'inspector'? Is there a script tag there?
