Posted at 2022-08-01 by TTBangler Well, FWIW here's the type of replacement band I got that I'm very pleased with: https://www.ebay.com/itm/293495192890 I guess some people wouldn't be pleased if you didn't include a band but I would be fine with that. Posted at 2022-08-02 by @gfwilliams Interesting, thanks! That's one of the ones they are suggesting as a replacement actually. I know one or two people (one very recently) had the band fail on their strap and I guess this removes that as a possibility. However it might be a bit too different for some people I guess! Posted at 2022-08-02 by nicoboss I ve found those ones, that might suit to most of people: Posted at 2022-08-02 by johan_m_o
I bought a couple of similar silicone straps off of Amazon and one of them has failed at the pin. The silicone has just torn. Posted at 2022-08-03 by fanoushs-punching-bag Hey @gfwilliams, Posted at 2022-08-04 by @gfwilliams Thanks - yes, ideally I just want something pretty basic (but strong and reliable) - and then for anyone who cares it's easy to replace.
That was this type? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293495192890 I must admit I was a little concerned that the area to the side of the cut-out might be a bit weak - but that's not what broke in this case? Posted at 2022-08-04 by johan_m_o
Similar... I can't find the link right now, but it was a couple of generic silicone straps from Amazon. I'm uploading a photo of the break. Attachments: Posted at 2022-08-04 by @thyttan I bought these two years ago and have been using them with my Bip and now my Bangle. I like them. 👍 For me, I don't like how silicone feels against the skin. Especially when it's hot and sweaty. I much prefer the nylon fabric. As a side note: when I just got the Bangle and still used the silicone strap it came with, whenever I had it near my mouth for whatever reason I would get a foul taste and somewhat weird sensation. Posted at 2022-08-05 by m-p{3} Personally I'm a big fan of milanese loops as they require no adjustment, and any 20mm watchband with pins should fit. https://i.imgur.com/lERePSE.jpg Posted at 2022-08-17 by Serj I like my own strap: comfortable, practical, cheap (a few dollars). The watch can be quickly removed and put on the hand, as well as quickly adjust the length of the strap. Also, the strap can be used as a screen protector if you need to hide the watch in your bag. I do not think that everyone needs such a strap by default, but perhaps as a second one? Posted at 2022-08-22 by m-p{3} Would you mind sharing a link to an online listing? Posted at 2022-08-22 by Serj Sure! Added a link to the store after the picture. Very similar to my strap in appearance and price. Posted at 2022-08-24 by Alessandro I recently bought a cheap nylon strap https://www.amazon.it/dp/B09Q62CLXV It's more comfortable than the silicone one. Posted at 2022-09-07 by PeerDavid I just bought this one here (https://amzn.eu/d/8yOLW6a) for my blue bangle and I really like it. IMO also the color looks very similar: Attachments: Posted at 2022-09-28 by splch I got a GadgetWraps band for my Bangle and it comes with a lifetime warranty which is nice. It feels great and they offer a lot of colors. The nylon doesn’t get hot underneath too which is why I replaced the original. Attachments: Posted at 2022-10-28 by user140377
+1 for nylon, especially when sleeping (sleep apps). But these types without fastener do stress the chassis of the watch when putting the watch on or off. I worry that the strap holder might crack. Posted at 2022-11-23 by myownself @gfwilliams what was the outcome of this? Three of the holes on my Bangle2 strap have now merged and I can't get a good fit anymore (when it was just 2 it was actually quite comfortable). Interested to know what you decided the best options were. Posted at 2022-11-23 by @gfwilliams In the end I just ended up going with another silicone strap (it's solid, not two-tone) but it does feel a little stronger better than the original. I know it's not ideal but I feel like everyone has their own personal preference, so the best thing I can do is ship something solid and not disagreeable and keep the price the same, and then anyone who does want to can jump on Amazon and get whatever they want for $10 or so. Posted at 2022-11-23 by user140377 I currently like this one: Posted at 2022-12-03 by Serj My pal craft a DIY strap. Check it out! A metal pins from a default strap that broke. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s0jrzg02jxaz2cm/springbar_holder.zip?dl=0 Basic 3d model print options: 3d printer: Ender 3 V2 To get the best quality orient model vertically. Checkered green canvas have half an inch by square. Posted at 2022-12-05 by @gfwilliams Wow, nice - those 3D printed clips look great! I'm not sure my 3D printer is capable of that! Posted at 2022-12-05 by Serj By the way, the 3D printer is budget, and the nozzle is large: 3d printer: Ender 3 V2 Posted at 2022-12-06 by @gfwilliams Wow, nice. Mine is an Ender 3 too (not v2) so maybe there's a chance I could pull it off :) |

Hi! I'm just getting a new batch of Bangle.js 2 made, and I've been told that somehow the manufacturer's watch strap supplier has damaged/lost their strap mold and is unable to make more straps of the same type.
It's a bit frustrating, but I guess it does give us an opportunity. I know many of you have replaced your existing straps with a different style... Does anyone have any suggestions?
We can't afford to go completely crazy (and those who want something very specific can change really easily anyway), but I guess we may still be able to do better than what we have currently
