Zoom - Also zoom for "browser" #59

Not really.

Thanks for the quick response! The problem with this solution is that the settings are saved on a per deck basis -- so I would have to do it for every field in every deck. Also, since the settings sync, the font ends up being gigantic on any non-high res computers. Would be nice to have this added to your plugin. Happy to contribute -- I am a PHP programmer but can understand a bit of python, if you point me to the relevant code locations in Anki... |
Good points. |
I am not sure that what you want is really best done with the zoom add-on. Anyway, RTF¹M first. For the bottom part, which is the same code used for the add card dialog, i first thought of a scheme involving this patch i made to the card editor and my local CSS add-on, but now i think it wouldn’t work too well. Anyway. You probably will have to monkey patch both the editor (fields at the bottom) and browser (list at the top). ¹_F_ine, obviously |
The code below seems to work pretty well -- I did not tie it in to mouse from aqt.editor import Editor editor_standard_zoom = 1.0 def changeEditorFontSize (self): Editor.fonts = wrap(Editor.fonts, changeEditorFontSize) |
Nice work @jaystarkey To get that to work as a separate add on, I did have to add an additional import statement (in case anyone else stumbles along this thread)

Ah, with #100, i just wanted to add a mention of @ankitest’s add-on. Anyway, as a comment: You may want to take a look at ' Editor fontsize, which may do some of the things people want here. |
For anki version 2.1.x, check out the Set Font Size add-on |
I am using a Surface Pro 3 PC with zoom. Unfortunately, the text is so small it is impossible to read on it since the screen is high resolution. Your zoom helps with reviews, etc. But when adding/editing cards through the "browser" the text fields are impossibly small (as are the buttons, actually), see image below. I contacted Anki support and they referred me to your plugin. I still can't really use the browser to add/edit cards, though. Any chance I you could modify size there, too?
