Have you ever looked at https://translate-h5p.tk? It's a website dedicated to translating H5P content types. I am fine with using git(hub), but that site really has some nice features like allowing to be notified when there's some new string to be translated, checking if and how a phrase has already been translated in some other content type, etc.
