After upgrading from 7.0.2 to 7.0.3 I get a fatal error when uploading new files with the web client:

[Sat Nov 15 22:33:42.605442 2014] [:error] [pid 29225] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:50263] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getUID() on a non-object in /var/www/owncloud/apps/files_external/lib/config.php on line 124, referer: https://servername/index.php/apps/files/?dir=%2FDaten

I upgraded with the Updater-App. It worked without problems before the update.

In the future it would be nice if you could provide the issue number. If you type # into the GitHub Issues web interface, followed by a string, GitHub will perform a search of the current repository's issues for you.

Thing is, there is a patch to mitigate the issue by converting the error to a warning: #12290

If the core issue is related to encryption + recovery keys, then here's the patch for that core issue: #12131

If the core issue is related to a deleted/invalid user and possibly LDAP, then there is no fix yet for the core issue, go to: #12167
