Welcome

This wiki is about providing help for users and developers on installing, customising and developing images for the WD PiCloud

The image

The image is based on Ubuntu Snappy (Ubuntu Core), a stripped down version of Ubuntu, designed to run securely on autonomous machines, devices and other internet-connected digital things.

On top of the core component, there is an ownCloud "snap" which contains everything needed to run ownCloud (Apache, PHP, Redis, etc.)

  • Automatic updates
  • Software delivered via Snap packages, including the OS itself
