As discussed, we need a better approach for reloading the app when something changes. We'll update pakyow server to do something similar to the prototype. Once we have a basic implementation in place, we can create issues for further enhancements.

@rjclardy suggested that we try restarting the process when a request is made. Restarts would still only happen if a file has changed, but in theory it might lead to fewer restarts overall. Let's put more thought into the two approaches and figure out which one works best in practice.

  • update pakyow server to fork the process when something changes
  • decide how to handle reloads when forking is unavailable (Windows)
  • create issues for other enhancements we could make to reloading
