Some Sphinx doc. Still a lot of work to be done, but we have to start somewhere!

Binary packages for Debian are available for the i386 and amd64 architectures. armhf packages seem to be currently not supported by the OpenSUSE build service.

For Debian Wheezy (7.0), Jessie (8.0) and Stretch (9.0) packages are built using the Open Build Service (OBS) on OpenSUSE Build Service project home:flixr:paparazzi-uav

actually, we also have Debian10, but the lablgtk package is broken (same issue than with Ubuntu 20.04, but we can't use the fixed package). This might be repaired some day...

I plan on changing a bit this part of the doc. Maybe in a future PR ? I added a warning on the top of the page.

This is the recommended toolchain

On most Ubuntu versions the gcc-arm-embedded toolchain can be installed as a debian package from the ppa:

this is only good up to Ubuntu bionic. In particular, the latest LTS (focal) is not supported by this PPA. Now, the procedure is to download from ARM embedded website I think.

It is essential that the order of these lines match the order of the channels in the *Messages* process.

For each channel, move the joystick to its minimum, neutral and maximum position, and look at the values displayed in the *Messages* process. Write these values in the ``min``, ``neutral`` and ``max`` attibutes of the corresponding channel in your radio file.

I have made some changes here with the new configuration system (in master, not yet in a stable branch):

  • you can use the reverse attribute instead of swapping min and max values
  • the ctl is not mandatory and even deprecated (it has never been used anyway)

But this is completely backward compatible and the old-way is still fine. We can wait for the next stable release to update this maybe.
