Translations

The translation plugin allows you to provide one page in multiple languages. There are two ways of doing this. This article explains the solution that is useful if only a couple of pages have to be translated (e.g. lists of phone numbers don't have to be translated etc.).

Besides your main root namespace ''/'', which contains the normal structure in primary language, you`ve to create another naming your secondary language in ISO code (e.g. ''/en/'' or ''/de/''). All translations have to be cloned in that namespace with exactly the same paths. For example, to translate the page ''/employees/worker1/bio'' you have to create the translation in ''/en/employees/worker1/bio''.

An example configuration that uses this strategy and is compatible with the DokuKIT template is shown below. example translation configuration
If you use more than one additional language you have to turn on the dropdown option.

To hide the titles of the namespaces from secondary languages in the navigation put them into the ''hidepages'' field (regular expression, e.g. ''^en|it'').

If you have huge tables of (multilingual) content you can separate them in extra pages and include them in both german and english articles.
