Passageway

Passageway uses a CHIP microcomputer equipped with IR beams to aggregate foot traffic data, which is visualized on a web application.

  • This is the webapp part of the Passageway project. This is where users can see data associated with each Passageway unit in heatmap form on a Google Map as well as in a chart of room count over time. The data is filterable by date and time as well. The webapp uses the Polymer project as a framework to provide a rich user experience.

  • This is the Android part of the Passageway project. The overall goal of this app is to provide users to administrate Passageway Field Units without the need to go into Firebase. This provides a simple, easy-to-use user interface that makes setup a breeze.

  • This is the Field Unit part of the Passageway project. This is the main part of the project. In this repository is the python program that handles all of the logic for recording data and pushing it to Firebase, the cloud database solution that we used.
