Details

gridformview

  • I changed the GridView/FORMview TABS to show at the bottom of the panel
  • I now need to place them at top(temporarily) and cannot find where that setting is
  • Manual!? useless on that, seeping the configuration more than once, still no-go!?!?
  • ...any other suggestions, forget it - just please tell me where it exactly is, so I can close this issue
    - yes there is a reason, I can't find it... and I am not about to spell it out,
it is due to the legacy lame approach in listing features with forum like lame topic titles!
    in umpteen arbitrary buckets

Click anywhere on data grid. In context menu there are positions for setting this.
I agree this should also be accessible from configuration window.

P.S. Let us keep emotions low.

  • emo is ok... not to worry, I am a cool calm and grounded person, too old for emo
as you had to have noticed, I shoot from the hip
on this instance, I was just trying to get your attention since you had not addressed many of my posts.
  • t.y. for answering... it now allows me to remember why I moved the tabs to the bottom
and confirms what I suspected even at top they consume a whole line of vertical space
  • ...could they not be combined on the
    data/Structure/Constraint/... line
    dataGRID/dataFORM/Structure/Constraint/...

I simply don't have time to read this much text (you write a lot of reports, each being very long). I already told you I'm busy these days and hopefully I will have more time for this project some time in future. Thus I'm responding to compact and simple reports, as I can affort it.

sorry, I know you do not have time... (just wanted your attention for that one, and it worked! thank you!) ... I don't intend to make a habit of it.

consider this: I had right-clicked on the tabs themselves, and the panel frame, but clicking on the data grid just did not occur to me, context does no pull that way.
so, can it be accomplished to place this on a right-click of the tabs?
if one right-clicks a tab in Opera, maybe in Chrome too!? a popup offers a slew of TAB options.

...and if you go for the layout I suggested in prior replies(in this thread) dataGRID/dataFORM/Structure/Constraint/...
you could make all and any of the tabs to be at top or bottom.
