Hello,

Actual behaviour

I have a problem with task management. If I add a task with a deadline (date + time) on my Nexcloud server (with the online interface or with the phone), the expiration date in Qownnotes (ctrl + maj + t) disappears.

Can you reproduce it on your side?

Expected behaviour

Have the ability to manage all task informations from Qownnotes

It would be great ;)

Welcome to CalDAV-hell. If you want to debug your problem you can start here: https://github.com/pbek/QOwnNotes/blob/develop/src/services/owncloudservice.cpp#L1706-L1729

There now is a new release, could you please test it and report if it works for you?

Strange it still doesn't seem to work with my production account...

I confirm reminder date is not detected in Qownnotes when i create a new task in nextcloud.

I can't find a pattern of what items work and which don't and why... And since I don't get a meaningful response from the server I've no idea what I can do about it. :(

It's crazy. If I create a task with Qownnotes with a reminder date and time, I find it in nextcloud.

An idea: and if you add the possibility of having a start date and an end date? Maybe Nextcloud does not know how to interpret the absence of start date if there is not the option ... and as a consequence detects no date at all ...
But it is certainly a wacky idea.

I'd love to but every CalDAV client handles reminders differently, it's a nightmare...

I often got the error The supplied iCalendar datetime value is incorrect in the nextcloud.log if there originally was a bad date value stored on the server... what does your NC log file say?

I have no problems with reminders when I create a new item with the NC calendar or with QON...

I just tried again. If I create a task from nextcloud, the date is recognized in Qownnotes (it works!). But if I create a task from my phone ... the task is transmitted with the date in nextcloud ... but Qownnotes does not recognize it.

As I was saying, every CalDAV client handles reminders differently... :(

Ok, it's "logical" in this case. And besides, if I try to check tasks from qownnotes ... only those created with the phone are not deleted.
What application android do you use and that works as well Qownnotes <-> nextcloud AND phone <-> nextcloud.
If you use one ...

Currently I use DavDroid, but it has the same issues you reported. On the iPhone it worked (last time I checked some month ago).

Okay, it's the same for me. I have to look at whether there are alternatives that could work ...
