Double clicking on tags should expand them #669

Actual behaviour

Currently, double clicking a tag opens up editing mode. I would suggest, that expanding is the use case which is more intended than editing a tag, so ...

Expected behaviour

Double clicking on tags should expand them.

Thank you for your suggestion, but that would irritate everyone else who is used to the default behaviour everywhere in QOwnNotes.
Although if you want to implement that with a checkbox in the settings I would accept it as pull request...

I will close this issue until there is more information.

It is a hypotheses that this would irritate users. My suggestions: practice user-centered design, ask them!

  • double clicking on items in the note subfolder tree and tag tree now
    causes the tree items to expand and collapse instead of editing them
    • there now is a new menu entry Rename subfolder in the note subfolder
      tree to rename subfolders
