There are compatibility issues between PCRaster and NumPy versions 2.0 and above, see e.g. UU-Hydro/PCR-GLOBWB_model#60 (comment)

Thanks for reporting! It only affects 4.4.1, the development branch works fine with both major NumPy versions, so the upcoming release will have no problems.
Luckily there is a workaround for this version, use NumPy < 2
