ForgeOculus is the modern, high-performance shader solution for the Forge 1.21.1 community.
This project is an unofficial fork of Oculus (which is itself a fork of Iris), specifically maintained to ensure Forge players don't have to rely on OptiFine for a premium visual experience.
To function correctly, ForgeOculus requires the Beddium rendering engine.
- Official Link: Beddium on CurseForge
- Note: You will have to wait for the developer (Ven) to republish the official jar for 1.21.1 Forge and also I shall Give Full credit to (Ven).
- Temporary Alternative: Until the official republish, please use this verified build: Beddium 1.0.10 for 1.21.1 (MediaFire)
- Peak Performance: Fully utilizes your GPU when paired with Beddium to provide high frame rates even with demanding packs.
- Broad Compatibility: Works with a vast majority of modded environments and complex Forge modpacks.
- Plug & Play Shaders: All existing ShadersMod / OptiFine shader packs (BSL, Complementary, etc.) work out of the box without modifications.
- Clean Codebase: A refactored and organized codebase aimed at making maintenance and community contributions easier.
Automatically applies shader effects (swaying/waving) to modded plant blocks without needing to manually edit resource pack files. Supports flowers, saplings, and more for a truly immersive world.
(Coming Soon / Integrated) Uses GPU-accelerated vertex transformation to significantly boost FPS when rendering large numbers of entities, text, or dropped items.
A huge thank you to the developers who made the foundations of this project possible.
