Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I always have troubles to snap properly my elements. Please see the video.
Describe the solution you'd like
When I move an element near of another one, I expect my element with try to snap on the near element, not one out of the screen.
Describe alternatives you've considered
More options in the snapping options?
Snap only with displayed elements, not off-screens elements.
Additional context
My Rect-1 has the same size as my icon box. I juste want to align them. And as you can see, my Rect-1 snaps with everything but my icon.
I don't want to have to use the alignement buttons everytime.
Note that it works slightly better if I zoom out, which makes no sense (there are more elements to display, then more opportunities to snap).
It seems in your video that the shape is being aligned with other elements that are not in sight. This is far from convenient so we decided to prevent the dynamic alignment to snap to elements that are not in plain view. We created a user story to tackle this problem eventually.
