Requirements

• git command line (Windows|Linux|MacOS) installed
• node Version 14 or 16 required

You also need your bot's token. This is obtained by creating an application in the Developer section of discord.com.

Installation

In a command prompt in your projects folder (wherever that may be) run the following:

git clone https://github.com/peopu/aku.git

• In the folder from where you ran the git command, run cd aku and then run npm install
• Configure the settings.json file for the bot to work properly
• If you get any error about python or msibuild.exe or binding, read the requirements section again!

Starting the bot

To start the bot, in the command prompt, run the following command:

node: node index.js

pm2: pm2 start index.js

Additional Informations

The source code of this bot is the same as my previous bot named "pocket-kitsune", which was inspired by An Idiot's Guide. Unfortunately, the bot is only available in Polish, but additional languages (English and Japanese) will be added in the future!
