Hey guys,

I'm doing a presentation this Thursday in Sydney on Xhprof and want to talk about Xhgui. I've installed it all and it seems to be collecting data however... The cpu, wt, mu, pmu are 0. I've tried a few different xhprof_enable() calls but none seem to be effecting the collection.

Current settings are:

xhprof_enable(XHPROF_FLAGS_CPU | XHPROF_FLAGS_MEMORY);

What could I have missed?

Hi Tim,

What does:

xhprof_enable(XHPROF_FLAGS_CPU | XHPROF_FLAGS_MEMORY);
sleep(1);
var_dump(xhprof_disable());

and is there anything in the error log after execution?

Hey Paul,

There was nothing in the error logs to diagnose with. I was actually being silly.

I had a header file included with auto_prepend_file which was enabling collection for both XhprofUI and Xhgui and somehow the xhprof_enable() calls in each were cancelling each other out. I wanted them both collecting data for comparison.

It was actually the xhprof_disable(); collecting the data initially, then providing empty data in the second call. I'll need to refactor it to share the profile data between apps in order to see the comparison.
