You don't need to steal the perl.org design. There's no reason everything should look the same, and I'd encourage you to keep yours looking different, because it's not really part of the same "family".

I've merged your request. It'll go live during the next content push, whenever that is.

i see a pragmatic reason: i have no webmaster to create a design from scratch :)

well... we're trying to show a modern face to perl: this design break the message.

hi @eiro - could I suggest you drop bootstrap onto it: twitter.github.com/bootstrap/

That'll give it a clean 'modern' feel, and if you want to get fancy use something like http://bootswatch.com/ so it's not just the default feel (although that's probably fine for this sort of site).
