GView has a new home. We've migrated the previous documentation on https://gview.ca over to GitHub https://github.com/phac-nml/gview-wiki/wiki/. We have also removed support and references to Java Web Start as this technology has been deprecated for a while and is now removed from the latest Java (Java 11). You can still download the executable JAR file from the Downloads page.
Eric Enns has nicely packaged up GView for ArchLinux https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gview/ and created a Ubuntu/Debian package. Please see the Download page for more info.
GView 1.7 released. Improvements to style editor. Support for multi-threading.

GView 1.1 released provides an enhanced GUI and lots of bug fixes.
GView Serveris complete GView Server provides a web server interface for creating and customizing GView maps and BLAST Atlas maps. The results can be displayed online using Java web start, or can be downloaded locally.
