2. How can we reproduce it?

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Set PHOTOPRISM_INIT: "intel"
2. Start docker container (photoprism/photoprism:latest)
3. Installation of intel drivers fails (see logs above)

No error is thrown when installing intel drivers.

4. What could be the cause of your problem?

You can find the version/build number of the app in Settings by scrolling to the bottom. Note that MySQL 8 support has been discontinued, see system requirements at https://docs.photoprism.app/getting-started/#system-requirements.

It's worth noting that this failure doesn't prevent photoprism from starting up.

This package is not part of the plucky repo (ref), but is in the oracular repo

@bennettmsherman Thanks for reporting this! The package installation was (QA) tested before we updated the base image, so we didn't notice it before the release. I've started new development preview builds that install the correct packages, and will let you know when they're available for testing. 🔧

Intel QSV works when I use it directly on my development workstation with Linux Mint 22.1. However, when I share /dev/dri with the photoprism container, FFmpeg gives me the following error whenever I try to transcode a video:

This could be a device permissions issue since I'm not running it as root, or it could be that the drivers on the host need to match the version installed in the Docker container? It would be great if you (and others who use Intel hardware transcoding) could test this and report back if it works for you:

Note that my main GPU is an Nvidia 4060, which only requires the Nvidia Container Toolkit to be installed, which makes it much easier to configure and use - it's therefore hard for me to provide more specific information or advice on how to get it working, or what the exact hardware and software requirements are.
