Steps:

  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Features
  • Go to Text fields
  • Enter -12 into CHAR textarea columns and hit enter
  • You will see Warning - htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given
  • Go back
  • Enter -12 into CHAR textarea columns and hit enter
  • You will see a JSON page

You can try the Apply button it seems to act the same way
