Marc would like to remove all unmaintained branches. These branches clutter the branch selector on github, the listing when adding a remote repository, and they are not useful. If needed, we can recreate a branch from a tag. After verification with git tag, we have tags for all releases starting from 2.2.0 (the beginning of source control for our codebase).
--Lem9 13:47, 2 April 2015 (CEST)
With no strong objections from any team member, we'll implement this suggestion. Marc will take care of doing the work.
Do we need tags for alpha, beta, rc releases? Marc does not see the need for these, and the repo only has a few of them.
--Lem9 14:31, 2 April 2015 (CEST)
It's agreed that these are not needed; Marc will remove them for the few cases where they currently exist and we will not use them moving forward.
Marc suggests "Supported for security fixes only, until Oct 1, 2015."
--Lem9 21:02, 1 April 2015 (CEST)
Agreed; the proposal is approved.

There is no clear decision, however the difficulty is with installing the module and the fact that the module author is deceased. We will wait several months and see what happens with the module.

--Lem9 19:29, 1 April 2015 (CEST)
After much discussion on the mailing list and in the tracker, we've decided this is beyond the scope of our project and that we'll close the ticket for now.
--Lem9 19:29, 1 April 2015 (CEST)
This is accepted and will probably be part of Isaac's GSoC project, replacing an item that was already implemented.
--Lem9 19:34, 1 April 2015 (CEST)
This is an area where there is crossover between the setup script and the user configuration storage. To accomplish downloading a config.inc.php
file
, we suggest users instead take advantage of the setup script feature. Marc will suggest that to the reporter and we will see what he thinks.

The team seems to agree this is reasonable for the user to desire, so we should try to implement it. Further discussion should occur in the tracker.
- https://sourceforge.net/p/phpmyadmin/bugs/4842/ basically old rule sets block the filename .cookie which affects our jQuery. This isn't really our responsibility to fix but is affecting at least one user.
--Ibennetch 13:26, 8 April 2015 (CEST)
This is unfortunately outside the scope of the project to fix.
