ssl? method in rails not returning true when ssl is enabled. #364

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Enable ssl in Nginx
2. Try using ssl? in Rails. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? ssl? to return true in Rails application. It returns false :)

What version of Phusion Passenger are you using? Which version of Rails? On what operating
system?

Passenger 2.2.1
Rails 2.3.2
Gentoo Linux x86_64 Please provide any additional information below. We tried setting x_forwarded_proto to 'https' in the nginx config to no avail.
