When running Piwik on a webserver that uses a selfsigned certificate (or one that is missing root or intermediate certificates), it should still be possible to connect via HTTPS.

Hi jimbo,

do you use PiwikMobile on Android or iOS? Do you have an anonymous account where I can test this?

Hi Thomas,

I use the iOS-App. The certificate in question is not exactly selfsigned, but belongs to another domain we own as well. But from my point of view its all the same: A certificate that has some kind of shortcoming is presented and I can decide wether to trust it or not.

Anonymous access is possible here (no data!):

Hi Jimbo,

thanks for your response. I can reproduce it in iPhone simulator but works on Android device. We'll have a look at this as soon as possible.

(In [3171]) refs #1651 should fix issues with invalid secure certificates

Hi Jimbo,

it works in iPhone and Android simulator now. I'll close this ticket as soon as I was able to verify it on a device.

Hi Jimbo,

sorry for my late answer. Had strange certificates problems to get the app running on a device. I tested it on an iPad and iPod Touch 4th Gen and it works. It will be fixed in the next release.
