@robocoder

ASUStor has inquired if we could build packages for them.

Summary:

  • Ubuntu 11.10 build environment
  • svn export Piwik into /usr/local/AppCentral/piwik/web/
  • /usr/local/AppCentral/piwik/CONTROL contains a couple of icons, apkg-info, and config.json
  • run build script ("apkg_build") to generate the .apk (Asus PacKage; internally, it's a .deb if I understand correctly)

Thanks for the tip - will they consider sponsoring the work? If so please contact: http://piwik.org/consulting/

@robocoder

I'll maintain this outside of the current build/release process. I didn't modify misc/package/build.sh because it requires a manual upload to ASUStor's Developer's Corner.

Thanks for doing that Anthon!! - is it on voluntary basis?

It might be time consuming and complicated for you to do that on each release though.. but thank you for proposing :)

What kind of users will use the ASUStor App Central?

Yes, but it was trivial.

It won't be much effort after I script the upload... ;)

ASUStor is targeting their NAS devices as private cloud storage.
