PMU - Phasor Measurement Unit

PMU is a software that implements IEEE Std C37.118.2-2011 using A Raspberry Pi. The communication is implemented using SPI protocol. So Any device that would be able to communicate with SPI can be used as a feed for data. This was tested using Arduino (The actual implementation was supposed to be run on FPGA, the work is yet to be complete).

You would be able to run the PMU software on a computer. If the software doesn’t find any SPI port, a single set of fake data is generated just to show that the software is working.

The data is shown in table. But if the data is sent over the network (via c37 protocol), the table may not be updated.

The server side implementation of c37 protocol is present in the software.

C37

The src/c37 directory includes C based implementation of IEEE Std C37.118.2-2011. It is almost complete. The optional configuration III response is not implemented.

The library is not fine tuned for every purpose. Though I hope you’ll find the library and the documentation enough mature so that you can work above it.

Build Requirements

You require Gtk+ version 3.20+ and a C11 based compiler (GCC v6.1+) to build the project.

One a Debian based system, you may be able to run this:

sudo apt-get build-dep gnome-todo # Install the build dependency of some C based gtk software.

And building is just as usual.

You might have to run the following the bootstrap the build:

./autogen.sh

And the build is as usual:

./configure --prefix=/usr
make
sudo make install
