Mobile web Zhihu is a website that I use very frequently.

But there is one problem that is very troubling.

The web version of Zhihu repeatedly induces you to download the mobile Zhihu App!

This happens at the bottom of the home page and after you click on the question page. It is very troublesome.

I don't know if this problem can be solved in the software？

Hi, @asuplive it's too web site specific. I don't know how the pop up is displayed under what condition, and how to turn it off in the beginning. If you have studied the details, please help to share more. Then I can consider whether it's possible to have a more generic feature to bypass this kind of popup in the first place.

If you visit from your cell phone, at the bottom of the homepage, there will be a prompt box to download the mobile Zhihu app.

If you click on any of the questions on the homepage to see the details, you will be prompted to go to the mobile Zhihu App(the pop up).

However, if you visit this website (zhihu.com) from a tablet (10-inch screen), there are no such prompts.

This problem does not only exist in Zhihu website, but also in other websites I visited, such as Baidu and Douban. These sites will lure you to download the mobile app.

I mean, technical details. Although many site have similar popup behavior, each are implemented in their own way. I am not familiar with web programming, and this is too diverse, it's hard for me to support this feature.

@asuplive I found out how to write scripts for zhihu to disable the bottom popup window and expand the content. However, when it pops up fullscreen download screen, this still can't be fixed. ce8aea0
