When building, a warning popup comes up "No task is currently running"

Hi @dbaeumer,

This issue is caused by these lines. Do we have API for getActiveTasks()? Currently, we run workbench.action.tasks.terminate before each PlatformIO command because we don't know which task was run last. For example, if it was Serial Monitor, we should terminate it becasue other tasks, such as: upload & monitor will not work.

Please note that I've moved to Dynamic Tasks today. See

Can this help us to fix this issue?

P.S: Having Pre/Post callbacks in Task Interface would be amazing!

Thanks in advance!

@sstaub Could you try this 0.5.0-beta.1 ? This new release introduces dynamic tasks per project environments. Similar which we have in PIO IDE for Atom.

  1. Uninstall existing platformio-ide extension (0.4.0). Please keep its dependencies, such as, c/c++ and native debug extensions
  2. Menu: View > Command Palette > Extensions: Install from VSIX...
  3. Unpack archive below and select platformio-ide-0.5.0-beta.1.vsix..
  4. Reload window.

Check new "Run Tasks" menu. Thanks!
