Done updating. Hi, All I am getting the same problem. |
I was experiencing this exact same problem too. For me, what worked was to update to JDK Version 8 (1.8.0_45) and then to change the line in play-fork-run.sbt mentioned above to have "2.4.0" instead of "2.3.9", and then it built properly on Activator UI. |
Hi i am facing same issue with but play 2.3.9, surprisingly i created initially an app without the issue, and after couple of days, i am now getting this issue. Kind of need help to resolve it. |
I am working around the problem by first launching the activator ui, then modifying the project/play-fork-run.sbt to use 2.4.0 instead of 2.3.9. Once you modify the file, activator will rebuild. Once you restart the UI, activator will (currently) change the file back to 2.3.9 forcing you to edit it again. |
@jwmach1 your solution #4563 (comment) did the job for me. Thanks a lot! |
Same issue . [error] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: play/Play$ |
@vishbin you need to use sbt versoin 0.13.8, as stated in the migration docs: https://www.playframework.com/documentation/2.4.x/Migration24#sbt-upgrade |
