With #4204 I've started to simplify the Install instructions.
With #4231, a regression was introduced (to the freshly simplified INSTALL.md document).
Note that I had anyway not yet finished with simplifying the document fully (it's a creative process, and needs some time). I need to apply a few more things, until I can say: "Well, that's a simple installation doc"
So, it would be nice to not interfere here, and to wait until I'm finished (with this one document).

is too much. This information introduces a decision to the newcomer and additionally, this information is anyway provided at the download location (or should be provided there). (Another issue is that standard/minimal distinction is not clarified).
I understand that experts have sometimes the need to share their expertise. But documentation addressed to newcomers is simply not the right place for that.
