This implies using a branch of plone.app.async. (Forked from #23.)

a colleague of mine made collective.cron (he originally named it plone.app.cron but he prefered to switch to collective for now), it is based on plone.app.async

i think if we adapt PlominoAgent as IBackendJobManager, it will work pretty easily
