Hey,

I'd like to use the subscribe popup without the actual button. Would be great to be able to trigger it on a custom element. Can I call it from my javascript? Maybe you have a hint before I crawl through the JS.

Thanksalot,
Carlos

Btw. is this the right place for support stuff like this? I don't want to spam your issue queue.

It is. Can you give us a use case scenario which element should trigger the button? Something along a small "subscribe..." link?

A simple link element would be all I need in my current use case. But it would be great if it'd be possible to trigger it in the custom theme JS for all kinds of elements or events.

Maybe you want to show it to your listener if an episode played more than 50% in the web player or after an event like pressing a like button or stuff like this. These examples aren't very good ideas but it would be just generally more freedom for heavy theming.

Great Idea! This would be awesome for more freedom in theming the button.

I'll close this as it's actually a feature for the button itself. Further discussion here: podlove/podlove-subscribe-button#36
