GUI improvement for templates editor

The template editor contains two save buttons. One for the content in the editor field and one for the settings.
Clicking the "save changes" (Änderungen übernehmen) button at the bottom will erase the changes in the template editor.
Is it possible to save the template settings as well as the editor content when clicking this button?

I had my editor content erased a couple of times because I was used to the standard wordpress administration behavior to show a save button at the bottom of the page. Also the "save changes" button is bigger and more prominent than the template save button.
