This is related to my previous ML email which is unfortunately still unanswered:

I have a mirrobrain instance delivering .metalink and .torrent files. I have
choosen Mirrorbrain and Metalink for their ability to easily deal
with many protocols (HTTP/FTP/BITTORRENT) at the same time.

Unfortunately my .metalink files (generated by mirrorbrain) do not include my
bittorrent URLs.

For example, have a look to:

• http://download.kiwix.org/zim/0.9/wikipedia_fr_all_07_2011.zim.metalink
• http://download.kiwix.org/zim/0.9/wikipedia_fr_all_07_2011.zim.torrent

Does exist a solution? If not wouldn't be a interesting to add a config.
parameter to allow that?

Hi,

Using the following directive inserts magnet URL's in metalink files.
MirrorBrainMetalinkMagnetLinks On

Additionally, if you have .torrent files already on the disk,
the following directive will check the torrent files and include them in the
metalink for .iso files.
MirrorBrainMetalinkTorrentAddMask .*.iso

I think there isn't enough documentation yet. It would be good to have more.

Here is my status regarding this issue:

• "MirrorBrainMetalinkMagnetLinks On" works well
• The fact that you can only have a Bittorrent link if a corresponding .torrent
  is on the filesystem is disturbing
• "MirrorBrainMetalinkTorrentLinks On" should IMO exists
• "MirrorBrainMetalinkMagnetLinks On" might be maybe activated per default if
  the necessary other Bittorrent configuration parameters are set

In my case, there is no issue anymore as "MirrorBrainMetalinkMagnetLinks On"
works like a charm.
