We have updated to 1.6 today on PHP 7.0. When you click on 'Edit with Elementor' it will download the post file instead of execute. Works fine in 1.5.5.

It's possible there is a conflict with our server config but all that's changed is the update to Elementor.

Please send to support@elementor.com your WP Admin + FTP access to see that.

Can confirm, having the same issue here after the update. Doesn't seem to be a PHP7 issue, I swapped my wordpress to php5 temporarily and it still does the same thing.

@carlchan Interesting, we switched back to PHP5 and it's working on 1.6. Still to hear back from host. Will update once I hear back.
