Could "mdales" implementation of OAuth be added into the master of ASIHTTP?
The depot is here: https://github.com/mdales/asi-http-request
There's also https://github.com/shiki/asi-http-request which has latest code merges
I'd like to offer this up as an alternative implementation:
It's implemented as a category instead of an ASIFormDataRequest subclass for flexibility (GETs, for example, typically use ASIHTTPRequest objects directly).
Great! I'm going to try it.
And you are right, the mdales's and shiki's implementations support only POST based requests.
Awesome, let me know how it goes. I've been using an ancestor of this code
for PUTting and POSTing JSON requests (no signing) using 2-legged OAuth and
finally needed request body signing. It seems to be working in my dev
environment, but let me know if you run into any problems.
The 1.8-oauth branch in my repo contains a patch against 1.8 if that's what
you're already using.
I'd love to know how this has gone. Are people satisfied with either implementation?
For those interested, there's been another category-based implementation that has been floating around too https://github.com/keybuk/asi-http-request-oauth
