1.6.0 Official
The official Polyend Tracker 1.6 firmware update is now available.
New Features
- New Delay (now with longer Feedback and added Filter),
- Improved looks (new font, with an option to select Original/New in the Config menu),
- New bright Monochrome display theme,
- Faster pattern increment/decrement in Song mode when using Shift + Jog Wheel,
- MIDI Synth Mode (press the Shift + Instrument Parameters keys shortcut to enter, check the manual for more information),
- Added option to export .pti instrument samples to wave files (from Project > Export > Export Samples, wave files are saved to Project/<your project's name>/samples),
- Reworked onboard quick manual by SynthDawg and additional sample pack from Recue (both require updating the SD card content which can be obtained at polyend.com/downloads).
Bug fixes
- Delay sync wasn't working correctly when the MIDI Clock input was set to USB source (#1550),
- In a specific case of use, the delay was clicking on an external MIDI clock, not anymore.
- Sample Editor was able to break Sidechain in certain circumstances, this is now fixed (#1531),
- There was a Fill Instruments 'To' name scrolling issue which is now fixed (#1524),
- The Fill function was causing the screen to flash, not anymore (#1522),
- Tracker was freezing after sample export (#1478),
- Inconsistent shading on value sliders is now fixed (#1494),
- Typo in effect description is now fixed (#1513),
- LFO was causing issues, but not anymore (#1487),
- Freezes in Sample Recorder while using FM radio are now fixed,
- Weird behavior of instrument preview in specific cases was fixed,
- Issues with pads and keys freezing should not appear anymore (#1477, #1480, #1486),
- The tracking line in Song mode was disappearing until the pattern ends after going to Performance mode (#1479),
- The jog-wheel steering software issue is now fixed (#1476),

- Hexadecimal mode inconsistencies in the Performance screen are now fixed (#1421),
- Rendering with an external clock was causing the Tracker to freeze, not anymore (#1426),
- Editing of MIDI CCs + setting CC 1 while restoring default values of MIDI instruments CC is now fixed (#1433),
- The “Pattern top info” Pattern was off by 1 when in Hex mode, not anymore (#1439),
- Sample Loader Issues related to sample preview are now fixed (#1451).
1.5.0 Official
New Features
- Introducing
.pti, a new instrument format within saved projects which allows importing those instruments to other projects you're working on. Load and resave your project to convert it to the 1.5 format which uses.ptiinstrument files. Then, when working on another project, go to Sample Loader, navigate to/Projects/YOUR_PROJECT/instruments/. Load the instrument and it will include both the sample, as well as all instrument parameters like envelope settings, sample playback type, wavetable position, and so on, - Try out the new
.ptifile format with this instrument pack: http://polyend.com/downloads. For easiest access, place the unpackedInstrumentsfolder in the root directory of your SD card, - You can now select slices in sample playback Beat Slice mode by pressing the corresponding pads (#823),

Behavior Change from Beta 1
- Play on the Perform screen now defaults to looping the current pattern like in firmwares 1.0 - 1.3; use Shift + Play to perform a song; if you want to switch between loop/non-loop without stopping the transport, Shift + Play again
- Switching from Perform to other screens now always resets the performance at the end of the pattern, and not immediately as before
