Attached is a patch that adds an RPM spec file that others can use.
It also slightly modifies the Makefile to make the install a bit more idiomatic.

Only tested on CentOS/RHEL 6, but it's simple enough it
should work anywhere.

I think someone else should maintain the RPM spec. Any chances we could submit it to rpmfusion?
Also, the Makefile changes breaks things. I used cp to preserve the executability for the bin/ scripts. Before making changes to the Makefile, use Vagrant to test the Makefile against Debian, FreeBSD, etc. The dash shell and BSD automake have caused the most problems.
