@igrigorik I know it's a bit late, as the specification is almost complete, but you've been doing great work here and I would really appreciate if you could have a look at the proposed specification before it's finalized (the working draft is the first comment in this thread)...

...Also, I think Goliath already has the groundwork for easily implementing this specification, so you might be interested to give that a try.
