I would love to see a feature that allows you to past formatted (tabs, line returns, comments) mushcode into the input window, and an alt-enter (or similar) keybinding strips out the following before sending to the MU*:

  • removes line returns (both \n and \r\n types),
  • removes extraneous white space (tabs and multiple spaces at beginning of line),
  • removes all text after a configurable comment marker (#, @@, ##, etc)

This text is stripped through the above rules, which compacts it into a MUSH-readable single line of text, then sent to the game.

This would enhance Potato to be a coder's platform, eliminating steps to unformat text before pasting into the send window.
