akmusis comes from "aktorius mūšis", a very rough translation of "actor battle" in Lithuanian! But I like it, it sounds like an old Egyptian word. It's just a joke: compare actors, from their average IMDb score. You can even start/graph a kind of IMDb fight. 0. INSTALLATION =============== You just need a python distribution (tested with python 2.6) and the imdbpy package $ sudo make install You will need to install the gnuplot package, if you want to use the `akmusis-graph' tool. 1. USAGE ======== $ akmusis -h Or, for example: $ akmusis -a 'clint eastwood' You can also use the 'akmusis-graph' shell script, to plot movies rating, as a function of time: $ akmusis-graph 'bruce lee' 'chuck norris' It will output the file 'bruce lee chuck norris.png'. 2. UNINSTALL ============ From the source directory: $ sudo make uninstall 3. NOTES ======== You may have an old distribution of python-imdbpy. This implies that a lot of data is missing for non-mainstream actors/directoes. It sucks big time, but do not blame me for that! 4. CONCLUSION ============= Enjoy! available at http://imdbpy.sourceforge.net/ or in your favorite repository
