The idea behind django-analytics is to have a thin data caching layer storing computed metric values for dashboard like display later. So django analytics itself shouldn't have to store large amounts of write intensive data.
It's something we are willing to consider though, what is you use case?
I just was experimenting django-analytics and I was curious to see whether there's intention to support mongodb and other nosql databases which is very useful for those kind of django apps that don't work with SQL databases.
