I get this error when building hibernate docs:

"""rendering Book(devguide) en-US/html
Error at xsl:import on line 4 of jar:file:/Users/stliu/.gradle/caches/artifacts-14/filestore/org.jboss.pressgang/pressgang-xslt-ns/3.0.0/jar/d98c5f6ef7d69dd33a3ad45656f6640100e8fc82/pressgang-xslt-ns-3.0.0.jar!/xslt/org/jboss/pressgang/xhtml.xsl:
Failure reading http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/1.76.1/xhtml/chunk.xsl: Operation timed out
Error at xsl:if on line 31 of file:/Users/stliu/projects/hibernate/hibernate-orm-41/documentation/target/do"""

and I have set the http_proxy and https_proxy , not working.
w/o those two proxies, I can't download this file from command, but w/ this set up, it is downloaded fine, from command line using wget.

it would be great if jdocbook can honour this proxy setting

I know I wrote this code before. Maybe it was/is specific to the Maven plugin?

false alarm, i used the http_proxy bash variable but which actually should define the proxy info in the gradle.properties, for example:

"""
server:hibernate-orm-41 stliu$ cat gradle.properties
systemProp.http.proxyHost=squid.corp.redhat.com
systemProp.http.proxyPort=3128
"""
