I'm performing some testing on a graphql server that only supports the GET method: however, it seems i'm unable to find a way to specify the HTTP method to use for this endpoint.

This issue pertains to the following package(s):

  • GraphQL Playground - Electron App
  • GraphQL Playground HTML
  • GraphQL Playground
  • GraphQL Playground Express Middleware
  • GraphQL Playground Hapi Middleware
  • GraphQL Playground Koa Middleware
  • GraphQL Playground Lambda Middleware

What OS and OS version are you experiencing the issue(s) on?

Kali linux (latest)

What version of graphql-playground(-electron/-middleware) are you experiencing the issue(s) on?

-electron v1.7.20

What is the expected behavior?

Being able to specify in some way what HTTP method to use: for example, in the desktop version, when a new workspace is created and the endpoint selection is set to "URL ENDPOINT", a GET/POST selector may be added next to the "OPEN" button.

What is the actual behavior?

Only POST requests are performed.

What steps may we take to reproduce the behavior?

Try specify an endpoint that only supports GET requests: in my case i've no chance to add support for POST requests, thus i receive an HTML error page instead of the schema:

no-http-post-method
